Foxes At Haworth

A couple of weeks back I took a trip up to Yorkshire. I finally got to visit somewhere I've wanted to for as long as I can remember - Haworth. Or more specifically, the Bronte Parsonage. Being bibliophile (thats a book obsessive to most) means I always had to start somewhere. At a young age my Grandma told me her favourite book was Jane Eyre so on my next weekly outing to the local library with my Grandpa, I got it out. Aside from children's books and the Harry Potter series, it was the first challenging book that I ever read. Since then it ignited a passion for reading, admiring and collecting books. Jane Eyre has always been my favourite book.

Haworth and the Bronte Museum were truly wonderful. It was thrilling to see original works and to go around the Bronte's house. Haworth in itself is a beautiful village. With quaint cafes and vintage shops, how could I not get my camera out? I thought I would share with you all some of my favourite shots from the day, and also a little OOTD.

Fox Dress - Vintage Dressmakers
£39.99
I always get lots of compliments when I wear this dress. Set on a viridian green, the blood orange foxes stand out, making this my favourite autumnal dress. I am a big fan of high necks as having big breasts I feel uncomfortable with low cuts, so this high crew-neck did the job perfectly. I love the length of this dress. Things are always slightly longer on me as I am a hobbit, but just below the knee is perfect for the colder months.

Berry Fur Hood Coat - Vera Moda/ASOS
£60.00
Since I bought this, I have not taken it off. I simply adore it. I wanted something different than a kaki or a black, so I when I found this berry Parka it was a must have. It has some lovely gold detailing on the pockets, zip and hood. Plus, that faux fur hood is the comfiest thing ever - even if I can fit another 2 heads inside!

Suede Boots - New Look
£29.99
I've had these for a while and they are the comfiest boots I think I have ever owned. They were from New Look's Comfort range which means although they have the heel, you can still walk around in them for hours. The suede adds another texture to them from the other similar style boots I have seen out currently. Not to mention the gold zip and buckle detail on the side, which nicely matched with my coat and necklace.
Just my kiss necklace which I have had forever. I'm not a huge accessory girl.

This was my favourite shop in the village. It was a little Apothecary called Rose & Co that had all the potions and lotions you could ever want! Below you can see their stunning autumnal window display - I just wanted to take it home with me! They also had some amazing homemade products, such as the the little bath cupcakes you will see! As well as an Apothecary, it also doubled up as a vintage Ladies' Outfitters. They had some beautiful dresses, accessories and lingerie.

They also had lots of gift items, and I could see they were starting to stock some christmas items. How cute are these bell glass-baubles? They are very twee and traditional with the red and green.

Let me know below what your favourite books are, and if you have been to Haworth yourself! Don't forget to check out my links below.

Lush Halloween/Christmas Favourites

Hello Lovelies!

Ahh, yes, its that time again! Here comes the tsunami tide of Instagram posts featuring autumn leaves, Pumpkin Spice Latte's and the plum lipsticks. I'm not going to pretend to be exemplary from these trends.

But of course, a beauty blogger would not not dare pass through autumn without sharing their LUSH favourites. So here I am- another year, another post, another very large card statement. Let's begin shall we?

Sparkly Pumpkin

Bubble Bar - £3.65

How can one not get into the Halloween spirit looking at this? Drenched in gold lustre, this bubble bar is packed full citrus goodness. The energising blend of juniper berry, lime and grapefruit oils definitely packs a punch! I love this for the slightly fresher take on the warm spice of autumn. Unlike many that can be musky, this is crisp enough to leave you spiced up but still warmed. It isn't the biggest bubble bar in the LUSH Kitchen, but I think you could definitely get 2 baths out of this, maybe more if you're not prone to being drowned in bubbles like me.

Cranberry Festive Face Mask

£6.75/75g

Now I will be honest, I am the pickiest about face masks - even LUSH! Now don't fall of your seat just yet; I'm just very particular about the texture and scent that I cover my face in - not to mention the sensitive skin. But oh do I wish they had this all year round! I smelt this in store and immediately fell in love. This festive face mask is a beautiful scent for the nose of, thats right you guessed it, cranberries! Although it's not a fusion of many aromas, this sweet scented mask is just perfect! Not to mention the fact it nourishes the skin with antioxidants and cleansing fennel seeds. Plus, Argan Oil to leave your face luxuriously soft. The consistency is just right to smooth on the face without it feeling like porridge, but still a face mask. I love the rose petal shade. There really is nothing bad to say about this product!

So White

Bath Bomb - £3.65

Okay, so I really don't know how to start this one. Basically this is my favourite LUSH product ever! This is most definitely the fairest of them all. I fell in love with this in 2013 and have never gone back! Bathe in a white mist with a crisp-apple fragrance and a slow melting rosy centre. Not just that but a blend of bergamot Oil and Rose Absolute means helps you feel calm and relaxed, whilst the Neroli Oil and Orange Flower get you in the festive spirit. Suffering from GAD, this ball of beauty has got me through many an anxious time. It honestly breaks my heart this is only in the Christmas Collection, so I'm always sure to stock up for the coming year. If they ever discontinued this I think I would storm down to the LUSH Kitchen and protest myself!

The Magic Of Christmas

Reusable Bubble Bar - £5.95

Forgive me is I'm wrong fellow LUSH fanatics, but this is a new'en this year? No, this didn't just make it into my favourites for how cute it looks... look at that bell though! It's packed with punchy cinnamon leaf, and Fairtrade Organic Clove to stimulate the skin. The smell of this is a perfect blend of Christmas spice and all things nice (citrus). I've not quite smelt something like this from LUSH before. The gold lustre (similar to that on Sparkly Pumpkin) leaves your skin glittering for the array of Christmas Do's I'm sure you will be attending. not to mention a blanket of hot, almond bubbles. Plus, I must admit there is something quite magical about swirling this round your bathwater!

Cinders

Bath Bomb - £2.95

Now, this isn't the most exciting looking bath bomb LUSH stocks, but the popping candy makes up for that! This is a firm favourite of many Lush customers and I can understand why. Similar to the scent of The Magic Of Christmas with the cinnamon and orange oil, this is a lot muskier. Definitely from the fireside! This also contains almond oil which conditions the skin beautifully. However this is quite small and isnt' very thrilling in the bath tub. Though it made it into my favourites as this is a bargain buy for a LUSH bath bomb!

Yog Nog

Bath Bomb - £3.95

Ooo, this one does make me excited! This is quite possibly a contender against So White for the top prize. I simply cannot possibly tell you how truly wonderful this smells. I think I am in love! Sweeter than dipping into a biscuit tin, this is about as festive as scents come. To me, I get waves of Cinder Toffee, Spicy Clove, Ginger and underlying vanilla notes. Containing organic Shea Butter and soya milk powder, it fizzes away to create creamy, comforting waters. Although not the most exciting to look at, sometimes less is more; which is definitely how I feel about this one. I love the simplicity of the faded orange and white, with the festive embellishments. So cute!

Stardust

Bath Bomb - £2.95

You know how I mentioned 'less is more' before? Well this little star is all about that! The rest of the Halloween/Christmas range this year all have quite heavy fragrances. I love Stardust because it is nothing like that. Mirroring the simplicity of its exterior, the aroma it produces is filled with Fair Trade Ugandan Vanilla and Peruvian Rosewood. Sweet and floral, a twinkly dip in its starlit waters gives a bergamot-powered boost to the mind and body. Plus, this leaves your skin with a subtle glow to make you look like a star!

If you made it to the end, let me know below what your favourites are from the Halloween/Christmas range? Or if you are yet to try, which one are you dying to purchase? It's really great to be back to blogging and a massive thanks to you all for all the support. Onwards and upwards!
