Lush Lipstick Review || Perspective

Hello Lovelies,

No surprise, I'm back with another lipstick review! As you all know, I'm a huge Lush fan (not that I go on about it a lot), but something I have taken a huge notice of is their lipsticks. I've tried a few and worn a few of my friend's, but not purchased one before.

Whilst in my local store a few weeks ago, Danielle and I were browsing them and I decided to take the leap. I chose the colour 'Perspective' which is a gorgeous rosy-nude shade. The formula of this really is stunning. Although it looks like it would be a gloss, this is most definitely a lipstick.
They are made jojoba oil, candelilla and rose waxes, which sits so lightly on the lips without feeling heavy. Together, this terrific trio help carry the pigment and lock in the colour without drying out the lips. My lips felt so nourished after using this, unlike others where they tend to make my lips dry out.
This lipstick is so long lasting - definitely all day!

It really has a gorgeous pink shine with gorgeous nude undertones, which make it perfect for a nude look. Really summery and subtle, but still making an impact with the shine it gives in the light!

Now, I'm not the biggest fan of doe foot applicators so I applied this with my Zoeeva 330 Contour Lip Brush, which gave an even coverage. I imagine that the product applicator would be great for on the go, or someone who has thinner lips - I just find them a little messy.

The package isn't the most demure but it does its job and is very typically lush - black and simple. I actually think it is rather cute! I do like the little tags on the side; thats definitely something I haven't seen before!

Retailing at £14.50 I think this is a ridiculously good price for the quality and amount of product you get. I would say this is a definite re-purchase, but I don't think I will ever have to!

Let me know if you have tried the Lush lipsticks, what you thought, and what your favourite colours were. Check out my last post: Summer Monochrome Look or read my last Motivational Mondays.

Summer Monochrome Look

Hello Lovelies,

I feel like summer is now in full swing and thats meant ditching the tights and parka's, and the chance to spruce up your wardrobe with some summer favourites! As we know, I'm not the best at posing (cameras are scary when they're pointing at you!) but I've tried my best. Enjoy!

Skirt
New Look - £24.99
A new addition to my wardrobe, I have been absolutely in love with this skirt. In a midi style, it has a gorgeous gingham mesh outer skirt with a silk lining. I feel very 50's when I wear this!

Top
Warehouse - £28
I have had this for ages! Although it's not in the pictures (blame the abundance of hair), it has a gorgeous open back and a high neck - which I love. This blouse is 100% polyester and has a lovely sheer look to it with a really relaxed cut. This is a stunning summer purchase.

Bag
Accessorize - £37
This bag I have also had for a while. It is a great everyday bag, with 2 zipped sections and pockets inside too! It has some really lovely gold detailing on the zips, buckles, press-stud and strap links. It does come with a shoulder strap but I tend to us it just as it is. You can't go wrong with this really!

Lipstick
No7 Moisture Drench in Sugar Plum - £9.95
Another oldie, I have had this lipstick forever! When I eventually replace it, I will probably do a review on it because this is a firm staple in my lip collection. Although a bit darker than I would usually go for in summer months, I feel it can definitely be pulled off with a nude eye, like I have here. Perfect for in the evening or nights out!

For my hair, I just added some salt spray for texture, as I feel this look doesn't suit poker-straight, shiny, primed-to-perfection hair. I also took sections from the front of my hair, plaited them back and secured them with a white bow.

For my shoes, I tried with 2 different styles, depending on the look you would want to go for. I wore some cute black heels that tie with a ribbon at the front for a more sophisticated, evening look. Then also some black suede ballet flats for a more casual look in the day.

I hope you love this look as much as I do! Let me know below or via my links what your favourite summer looks have been so far - I would love to know! Thank you for all your support - you're a good bunch!

All My Love,

Forever Aloe Products Review

Hello Lovelies!

I am really excited to talk to you about my recent favourite products.

Forever Aloe is a company that uses all naturally sourced products - primarily the Aloe Vera plant, if you hadn't already guessed. They have a wide range of products, from tooth whiteners to weight loss programmes, to toners and moisturisers to hair care.

The first product I fell in love with was the Aloe Moisturising Lotion. Perfect for sensitive skin, this is light on the skin, without feeling oily or too rich. Protecting you skin from harsh weather, it locks in that moisture, whilst still retaining your skins natural pH balance. I cannot stress to you how much this has kept my skin hydrated! As a dry skin type, this has been a godsend to me over the last month or so. However, I think it would work just was well for combination/oily skin because of its light formulae.

It can be used for the face or body, or even as a base for foundation. Instead of a primer, you could use it to protect both your skin from the chemicals and make your makeup last longer.

It also contains both collagen and elastic to naturally plump up your skin, so it appears toned but naturally smooth.

The other favourite product of mine was the Aloe-JoJoba Shampoo and also the Aloe-Jojoba Conditioning Rinse. Containing jojoba and vitamin B, these products help both to nourish, protect and strengthen the hair.

If you have been reading my blog for a long time, you will know I care immensely about my hair and it takes me a lot to love a haircare product. Oh how things have changed!

Everything about this set has just changed the body, shape, texture and just all round health of my hair. After using them both in conjunction I had a silky, salon-look finish that I have never had before.  This aloe vera and jojoba oil-infused shampoo gave me shiny and easy-to-manage hair. The gentle pH-balanced formula is suitable for all hair types and can be used to help replenish your hair’s natural moisture.

This pH-balanced conditioner gives hair a silky, salon-look finish. Enriched with nourishing oils and vitamins, this product provides a great result when used in conjunction with the Aloe-Jojoba Shampoo.
