White Chocolate & Honeycomb Cookies Recipie

Hello Lovelies!

Today I thought I would share with you one of my all time favourites. These are my homemade White Chocolate & Honeycomb Cookies and not to float my own boat but they are just to die for! With a crunchy outer and a warm gooey middle, these are the perfect treat. These are certainly not low fat so I wouldn't indulge yourself all at once.

Firstly you need to make the honeycomb. Find the recipe HERE. You can of course buy honeycomb pre-made but I think homemade is always tastier!

Once you've done that we can get on with making the rest of the mixture. For this you will need:

100g Butter
140g Brown Sugar
200g Plain Flour
1 Egg
Capfull of Vanilla Extract/Essence
Pinch Of Salt
1/2 tsp of Baking Powder
1.5 tbsp

1.
In a bowl over a pan of simmering water melt the butter, brown sugar and syrup. In another bowl mix the flour, salt, vanilla and baking powder. Beat the egg into the butter mixture, then add in the flour mix. Stir well, then leave to cool for an hour in the fridge while the oven preheats to 175°C.

2.
Chop up your white chocolate into chunks and add that and your broken up honeycomb to the cooled dough mixture.

 3.
Line two trays with baking parchment and with gloved hands shape walnut sized balls out of the dough. Place them on the trays and flatten them slightly. Be careful to leave enough space between the, about 3 inches should be enough.

4.
Bake for 12-15 minutes. They should look done but still soft.  Don't put them too high up in the oven; burnt chocolate isn't nice! When done, leave them on the tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.

I hope you enjoy munching on these delicious treats and let me know how you get on my checking out my Twitter, Bloglovin, Instagram or Tumblr!

Rimmel's Rita Ora Nail Polish Review

Hello Lovelies!

I have been rather excited for the release of Rimmel London's Nail Polish Collection By Rita Ora. Rimmel are my favourite brand for nail polish as I feel they deliver all round. So the thought of more shades got my pennies jingling!

The collection consists of 12 different shades; ranging from a pearly white to an almost-black red. Every single shade was perfect and if my budget had allowed it, trust me, I would have bought them all! I definitely think some of these are one coat wonders, whereas some you may need two.

I went for three different shades which were:
'Breakfast In Bed'
'Pillow Talk'
'White Hot Love'

BREAKFAST IN BED

'PILLOW TALK'

'WHITE HOT LOVE'

Rimmel are my favourite nail polish brand and they didn't let me down! I applied 2 coats of each colour and they all lasted un-chipped for over a week. In the end I had to use remover to get it off!

I've always loved Rimmel's packaging. I know its fickle of me but I feel I love a product so much more when it has attractive packaging.

Also, I think Rimmel's applicator remains unfaltering; with a wide, flat brush it allows the varnish to glide on evenly. Being part of the 60 Seconds range, they dried fast too!

Application: 4/5
Lasting Perfection: 4/5
Colours: 4/5

Have you tried any of the products from this collection? If so, what did you think?

Also let me know if you think I should try out the Rimmel's Rita Ora Colour Rush Balms.

Lush Lip Scrub Review - 'Mint Julips'

Hello Lovelies!

I've seen these featured on many a 'Get Ready With Me Video' or a 'Monthly Favourites' post so I have been rather curious to try it out.

If you haven't heard of this product before, basically you apply some to a clean finger and then exfoliate it across your lips. With warming peppermint and sweet vanilla combined with real sugar crystals, it removes all of the dry skin and flakes so your lips are smooth for applying lipstick. The best part is, at the end, you can lick away the excess as its completely edible!

I decided upon 'Mint Julips'. The others were 'Popcorn' and 'Bubblegum'. Apparently the popcorn one is very salty and i have an aversion to the bubblegum taste, I don't know why. Anyhow, the Mint Julips is scrum-diddly-umptious! It says Mint and chocolate but I don't taste any chocolate at all, just a hint of vanilla; which to be quite honest is what i would have preferred anyway.
.

The retailed at £5.50 which I think is a good price for this product.
Taste: 5/5
Application: 3/5
Treatment: 4/5
Re-purchase?: Definitely

Let me know if you have tried any of the Lush Lip Scrubs! Which was your favourite? What do you think of them?

Maybelline Colour Show Nail Polish Review - Downtown Red

Hello Lovelies,

Nail polish is something I really take pride in. I think hands look so much more feminine and attractive when they are painted. So on a little hunt around Boots the other week, I saw the Maybelline Colour Show collection. I have never tried this collection before so it is very much a first for me.

I thought I'd be safe and got for a red as its my favourite colour to wear so I chose Downtown Red. Although it may seem brighter on the pictures, its a burgundy red colour with plum/pink undertones.

With a wide range of colours and a great price - retailing at only £2.99 - I had high hopes that this would fill my nail polish requirements. It had a great consistency an dried quickly. I also really liked the applicator; something I am rather picky on. They are Maybelline’s first transparent gel based formula, giving you a glossy look.

However, I found that it soon chipped. The next time I applied it I added another layer and although it lasted longer, it still chipped quicker than other nail polish.

Over all I think these are worth the price they're sold for. Coming in more that 40 colours, there's plenty to choose from. But if you're looking for something hard wearing, I don't think this is the nail polish for you.

Colour(s): 5/5
Application: 4/5
Wear: 2/5

Let me know below if you have tried any of the Colour Show range. What did you think of them? Also, don't forget to check out all my social media; links are below!
