Simple Skincare Product Essentials - Review

Happy Monday! (Or not-so-happy Monday if you're like me and hate mornings)

oday I thought I would talk about Simple products. Being myself, I have incredibly sensitive skin t and also sometimes suffer from eczema which makes it incredibly challenging to find a product that my skin agrees with. I've had many painful experiences which I'm sure none of you want to re-live with me.

However, I found that Simple products are perfect for all skin types; whether you're dry, oily, spotty, etc. They use only the purest possible ingredients including multi-vitamin goodness and nutrients. I have tired and tested the majority of their products (and have most of them in my bathroom cabinet), but today I want to talk about 3 products that I think are essential to having beautiful, healthy skin.

1. Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes
These are an absolute god-send in every way! These refresh and tone your skin leaving it feeling happy and hydrated. They exfoliate you pores yet are soft and gentle on the skin. They are great for removing make-up after a tough day and moisturize your face without leaving residue. I go through these like nobody's business (mostly because I like to whip one out several times a day to give my face a pick-me-up) but they are affordable so there is no need to break the bank!
*Just to mention there are more in the range if you want to treat something specific such as; Exfoliating Facial Wipes, Eye Make-Up Remover Pads, Sin Oil Balancing Wipes, Spotless Skin Cleansing Wipes, etc.*

2. Simple Pore Minimizing Toning Cleanser
I use this when I wake up in the morning and before I go to sleep. I have quite big pores and it certainly helps reducing those. Though even if you don't have big pores, this tones your face, making it seem vibrant and hydrated.

3. Kind To Eyes Revitalizing Eye Roll-On
If you don't have this, you need to go out and buy it. Its perfect for when you wake up in the morning and you look in the mirror and notice your tired, ringed eyes. The sleek applicator feels so nice on your skin and instantly wakes up your eyes. It also helps to massage tired bags if you've had a bad nights sleep.

I hope you found this useful. Look forward to more!

The Fault In Our Stars - John Green

Happy Sunday!

A while ago now I read John Green's "The Fault in Our Stars". It was released in January 2012 and quickly became #1 on Amazon. The critical response world wide was phenomenal and is a #1 best seller.

I thought I would tell you about the novel if you've not already had the pleasure of devouring it and give you my honest opinion.

The novel from 16 year old Hazel Grace Lancaster's point of view, a girl who has terminal lung cancer and has been battling cancer since she was thirteen. She has an oxygen tank attached to her via the tubes through her nose because in Hazels' words "My lungs suck at being lungs". When she attends a Cancer Children Support Meeting and encounters Augustus Waters, her life changes dramatically.

Augustus provided much needed companionship, humor, and reminded Hazel not to let the cancer consume her; to not let it take away her hopes, dreams and social life. He also showed her what it felt like to be unconditionally loved. His manner was very much like how a young male might handle situations, but he was also not afraid to let Hazel (and the reader) see his vulnerable side. The witty and thought-provoking dialogue between the two really helped the flow, and lightened the mood of a novel surrounding a rather serious topic.
They ask the questions that relates to all of us: Will I be loved? Will I be remembered? Will I leave a mark?
Green has the ability to handle the pace of a novel well and appropriately. His characterization was exceptional, creating characters with depth that touches the reader. He very believably portrayed a young female teenager's thoughts and issues to the point where I felt that Hazel was one of my best friends.

What I loved about The Fault In Our Stars is that the journey that Hazel went on wasn't acceptance of death -she'd completed that before the novel began - but on the acceptance of life. How life isn't always fair, but life just is. And how it is greatly put in the novel; "The world is not a wish-granting factory."
The Fault In Our Stars isn't a depressing read, then again, it isn't an uplifting novel either. It is simply a truthful depiction of love, loss, and the life of a young girl who has cancer.
John Green once again captured my heart and left me speechless when I closed the cover. If you haven't read this already, go out and buy it. I cannot describe how this makes you feel or the change you feel inside you, so go and find out for yourself!
“Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book. And then there are books like An Imperial Affliction, which you can't tell people about, books so special and rare and yours that advertising your affection feels like betrayal”

H&M Lipsticks

Good Evening!

I've recently decided to try the H&M Lipsticks. I have tried a few including; Up All Night, Wild Thing, Pink Fool and For Audrey (pictured).

The lipsticks are incredibly affordable at £3.99. I thought the packaging was very sleek and a great size for slipping into a little bag, for emergencies.

All of the H&M lipstick range leaves a look in between matte and shine, perfect for all occasions. It applies nicely and without trouble.
However, I found that it can rub off very easily if you don't blot a lot. Also, I didn't think the smell of it was great, something which i'm very particular on.

Overall I would give H&M lipsticks a 7/10.

All my love,
Sophie
